The extended shield allows for superior glare control and hides the bright LED lamp from view, especially important when fixtures are mounted overhead. By positioning the fixture high in a tree, it allows light to filter naturally through branches and foliage creating a beautiful moonlighting effect.
The MVS MR16 Downlight is a professional-grade tree-mounted fixture designed to create beautiful, natural-looking illumination from above. Mounted high within the canopy of a tree, the fixture directs light downward through branches and foliage to softly illuminate patios, walkways, planting beds, lawns, and other outdoor living areas.
One of the most important features of this downlight is its extended glare shield. Because downlights are mounted overhead, controlling the view of the bright lamp is especially important. The longer shield helps conceal the light source from normal viewing angles, reducing unwanted glare and creating a more comfortable, polished lighting effect.
The MVS uses a replaceable MR16 LED lamp, allowing you to customize the brightness, color temperature, and beam spread for the application. A narrow beam can provide more focused illumination from higher mounting locations, while a wider beam can create a soft pool of light over a larger area. The adjustable knuckle moves in precise 7.5° increments, allowing the fixture to be carefully aimed from its mounting position in the tree.
